This is an essay that will stick with me. Beautifully written! Thinking of the items in my own basket, who put them there, and reflecting on “Cherry Coke” moments I haven’t appreciated enough!
Thank you for the thoughtful comment Lauren! 💕 I love that you’re thinking about what’s in your basket and how those things got there. That’s exactly the kind of reflection I hoped this essay would spark. I hope you smile the next time you see a Cherry Coke! 🍒
Thank you for this essay. The ideas were so clear and to the point.
My cherry coke moment: I was being bullied at work by a girl who started off as a friendly colleague. I couldn't sleep because I kept asking myself , " why doesn't she like me anymore?" "What changed?" " Did I do something wrong?". Then, I had an "epiphany" --- that it doesn't matter what anyone thinks of me. Only what Jesus thinks of me mattered.
That gave me so much peace, that I fell asleep She didn't bother me anymore. It was like once I didn't care about her, all the animosity / bad energy from her disappeared.
Minyuen, Thank you for reading and taking the time to tell your story. I love that your Cherry Coke moment brought you to a place of peace! Thank you for being here! 🍒💕
